Motorist Flees Traffic Stop And Kills A Motorcyclist

Another U.S. 19 car accident on May 10 ^th, took the life of a motorcyclist and injured a Pasco County Deputy.  If you travel on this route then you most likely were rerouted due to this motorcycle accident, as the northbound lanes were closed for investigation. 

The driver of the red pickup truck (pictured above) was pulled over and handcuffed by a Pasco County Deputy Tuesday morning.  The driver, Brittany Miles got back into her truck and drove off As the deputy reached into the driver side window to stop her.    Miles then crossed 3 lanes of traffic and ran a red light where she collided with a motorcyclist.  Henry F. McCain was riding his Suzuki motorcycle attempting to head west through the intersection, McCain died at the scene. 

I have written blogs about auto accidents on U.S. 19 several times, this is yet another example of the dangers that this road presents.  Frequent commuters along this road should be cautious and alert when traveling along this highway due to the frequency of Car crashes.
